Help with StockOrNot.

The answer to most questions is below. For anything else, on the website or in the iPhone app, write to hello@stockornot.com.

Getting in touch

Email hello@stockornot.com. Say whether you were on the website or the iPhone app, and what you expected to happen. For anything about your account, write from the address you sign in with, so the account can be found and we know the request is yours. For a figure that looks wrong, give the ticker and where you saw it.

Signing in

Signing in is optional: the deck, the cart, Compare and the track record all work without an account. An account keeps your cart in step between devices and lets you have earnings alerts emailed to you.

A copy of your data, or deleting your account

Both are in the Account tab once you are signed in, on the website and in the app. Download my data gives you a file with your account, your saved cart and your alert settings; in the app it opens the share sheet, so you can save it to Files or send it on. The privacy page lists what else is kept, and how to get it. Delete my account asks once more, then deletes the account and everything attached to it at once, for good. Without an account, your cart and everything else stay on your device: Export CSV in the cart gives you the cart, and deleting the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes them. If either button does not work, write in from the account's address and it is done within 30 days. The privacy page lists everything that is kept.

Earnings reminders

In the iPhone app, the earnings sheet (Account, then Earnings alerts, or Earnings dates in the cart) has Notify me on this iPhone: a notification a week before anything in your cart reports, scheduled by the phone itself. Switch it off there, or in the iPhone's Settings under Notifications. The same sheet switches the email alert on or off for a signed-in account, on the website or in the app.

What StockOrNot is, and is not

StockOrNot is not investment advice. It shows the same scores, figures and summaries to everyone, built from companies' and funds' public filings and market data, and those can be stale, mis-parsed or wrong. How the score works sets out what goes into the score and what it cannot know. The iPhone app places no orders, connects to no brokerage, holds no money and sells nothing. The terms have the rest.
